Dr. Jumoke Oduwole is the Honorable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A distinguished jurist, academic, and public policy expert, she brings extensive experience in economic governance, international trade, and regulatory reform. Dr. Oduwole holds an LL.B from the University of Lagos and an LL.M in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge. She began her career in academia as a Senior Lecturer in International Law at the University of Lagos before transitioning into public service. She previously served as Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business and as Executive Secretary of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), where she led over 200 reforms that significantly improved Nigeria’s business climate and investor confidence. Appointed Minister in 2023, Dr. Oduwole continues to champion policies that promote industrialization, trade competitiveness, and sustainable investment. Her contributions to governance and national development have earned her several distinctions, including the national honor of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).
